Update At 6:30
It’s 6:22 and I’m out here at the 6th Street gate with about 120 other
people. So far everything has been peaceful, with the exception of a
few students blocking dps from coming in. Luckily some other protestors
pushed them out of the way so dps could come in. The point of this is
not to block the gates, but to welcome the faculty and send the message
that we’re not giving up.

My recommendation to you- for a better and successful protest is to call upon all former DPN protestors (who were successful at their protest rally in 1988) to come to Gallaudet and help all of the current protestors and to come up with a plan to devert the BOT’s determination to keep Dr. Fernandes on board. If anyone there has already thought of it, please disregard my recommendation. My support goes out to every one of you!
