  3. This is the highest compliment I could get because obviously the readers take me seriously. People who leave hateful and demeaning comments against the deaf students give the world a better idea what attitudes the students have to deal with on the campus.

  8. Gallaudet Students and freinds,

I would be more than happy to share my thoughts on this significant verse in the bible which has been appeared in my heart, mind and soul for many years. As I tried to meditate on what that means. So I asked a few deaf and hearing christians what they think of. However, unfortunately they say they are not sure of what to think of it meaning and they tried to interpret what it means, so vague to me.

I am so grateful that my freind gave me the New Living Translation (NLT) bible a few months ago. Last week I happened to think this verse; NLT Lev 19:14 so I showed it to some deaf people and I finally understood what it means as I did read it carefully in a short awhile. God means that He wants the deaf people to be treated respectfully equally along with the hearing people and others. The Deaf/deaf people are still treated by being audism nowadays and I am aware that it is time for the world really needs to listen to us for our needs from now on. We need to pray to God for His wisdom daily so we can ask Him to show us what we can do. I urge you all to read this important message from God: NLT 19:14 “Show your fear of God by treating the deaf with respect and by not taking advantage of the blind. I am the LORD.
As you go read the different bibles as below.
    God bless you all,
    Bobby Rishsew
    KJV (King James Version)
    NIV (New International Version)
    NLT (New Living Translation)
KJV 19:14 Thou shalt not curse the deaf, nor put a stumblingblock before the blind, but shalt fear thy
    God: I am the LORD.
NIV 19:14 ” Do not curse the deaf or put a stumbling block in front of the blind, but fear your God.
    I am the LORD.
NLT 19:14 “Show your fear of God by treating the deaf with respect and by not taking advantage of
the blind. I am the LORD

  9. This is not the top of DeafBlog. This is the top of WordPress. com, a national blog program where the majority of the blog owners are hearing.

  11. By the way, the arrests were mentioned on tonight’s NBC Nightly News — so million of TV viewers heard about this.

Note: The captioner hit “death” instead of “deaf”. *groan*
