Endless Pondering

How You Can Fight Back

I have blogged continually without a break since the protest broke out. I continued my work while I was in Florida, staying in a hotel and visiting my ailing mother. I gave up a lot of hours on this blog, keeping the deaf community informed. I am very grateful for having the opportunity to make some contribution to the protest. I’m doing this to fight oppression and social injustice inflicted on the Gallaudet Community.  Unity for Gallaudet is going on very strong with the momentum rapidly increasing, both on campus and all over the world.

We are now experiencing a cold front and the temperatures are expected to drop into 30’s.  However, with the deceitful seizure of HMB, the DPS have refused to let the students take their lawful possessions from HMB.  The students need blankets, tents, and sleeping bags. Of course they also need essential supplies like food and liquids to sustain their strength to continue their fight for justice.

Please do make a note that I am not making any personal profit from this.  However, I would like to ask you, as a gesture of the appreciation for my work and support to Unity of Gallaudet, to make a donation to FSSA. The paypal logo is on the right side of the blog. Request that the money be used to purchase supplies for the students and for any legal expenses that may incur if the students are arrested by the DC police for exercising their rights as accorded to them under the Bill of Rights.

  1. Fighting “oppression and social injustice” and not having the balls (no pun intended) to stay out in the cold leads me to believe that you just are more interested in a semester-long party out in the front gates.

  2. I’m not a student. I am an alumnus and I do have balls because I have the strength to stand up for my beliefs and share the truth with the world.

What about you? I see you are not using your name. Maybe you don’t have the balls, eh?

  4. As I noted on my blog, you’re all simply chess pieces in a game between the administration and the leaders of the FSSA. By taking over HMB and then the campus, the FSSA has established the “rules” of conduct.

I would argue that the administration is simply taking those rules and turning them against the FSSA. Don’t get me wrong, I support the notion that JKF has to go but the students taking over HMB was an escalation in tactics leading to a grave error in abandoning HMB for the gates.

  5. Your “truth” is not necessarily what the world believes to be the truth. I’ll bet that you’re equally unbearable in real life with your burning self-righteous attitude. Don’t take it amiss if you go nowhere in life with that ‘tude.

  6. Inform the DC police that your possessions are being illegally held in HMB and request that they assist you in recovering your possessions from HMB.

Judging from DC police response, you may get an idea of how far you can go in getting your materials back.

Idoubt that DPS could keep out 100 determined students, especially if the students evacuated HMB after recovering their possessions.

  8. I would like to know if Mishka Zena is an attractive female? Any pics available? If so, that could sway me to be persuaded by her. ;)

  9. Thanks for the coverage of the protest. I have a question. I see protestors talking alot about the “oppression” they experience. I have not seen this oppression explained in detail anywhere. Can you give some examples?

  11. cs and bob, you are welcome. Bob, you do have an excellent point. I’ll need to cover that angle more in depth. Thanks.

Who is MishkaZena, I do have a picture of my puppy in the older section of this blog on DeafRead. Maybe you’ll be swayed by her beauty, as her parents are show dog champs ;)

Supporter, that’s an excellent idea. I’ll be sure to pass this information to the students. Thanks

Waysa, I think the readers decide for themselves what is the truth. It seems many readers find my reporting quite credible, according to the high hits I’ve received on this blog. However, you are welcome to check other blogs if you don’t like my blog. :)
