I. King Jordan Cancels Interview
Talk of the Nation had planned to interview Gallaudet University’s outgoing president, I. King Jordan, on today’s program. Due to the escalating crisis at the university, Dr. Jordan cancelled his appearance and sent us this statement last night.
“I deeply regret that I am unable to be on Talk of the Nation tomorrow. However, the current situation on the Gallaudet campus is critical and requires my full attention. I truly looked forward to the opportunity to talk about Gallaudet and my long and wonderful relationship with it, and I hope I will have the opportunity to do so on the program in the not too distant future.”– I. I wish Jane very well, as she begins her job as the the main compass of the university, that she has the strength and courage to bounce off the storms of flak and scourge coming from the dissent.
