From Tent City to GUKCC to Dorms to SAC to GUKCC...

In a nutshell - the protestors all swarmed to GUKCC because I. King Jordan was having his retirement gala there, and all BOT members were expected to attend. But the DPS officers guarded all the doors and wouldn't let anyone enter, even a student who had already reserved a room in the hotel.

Then after a few fiery speeches, the protestors decided to go to every dorm building and spread the message and gather more people. They went to the freshmen dorms first, then Carlin, and Clerc, and then Benson Hall.

Bigger in number, people all went to the marketplace at SAC and seated themselves. They all listened to speeches and discussions by the student leaders about what has been happening and what will happen.

The student leaders explained that they were waiting to hear from the BOT about FSSA's request to have an outside agency investigate Gallaudet's system. And they had given the BOT a deadline: 10 PM.

By 9:45, everyone swarmed to GUKCC once again and waited for the BOT to come out, but they wouldn't. There were too many of the protestors around the doors. SBG President Noah Beckman asked to see the chair of the BOT to hand her a letter (will be posted up as soon as possible) stating that the deadline has passed and that the protest WILL continue.

It took a long while, but Brenda B. finally came up and took the letter. She said, "We didn't have time to discuss your request, we will give you an answer tomorrow morning."

She had just came from a party that lasted for three hours, celebrating I. King Jordan's retirement.

Everyone went back to the marketplace at SAC and discussed what was to come next......... and its gonna be good.
