| | At 8 AM this morning, students started setting up tents and making signs all over Tent City. But then they were interrupted with a stench -- Near Tent City, campus workers began putting down a product called Earth Juice, which is a highly concentrated and smelly liquid fertilizer. "Apparently the administrators who ordered them to do this are hoping that this tactic will disrupt the protest," remarked a protestor. I came up to Tent City around 9 AM and smelt the strong fertilizer, but the smell went away in an instant. It's wonderful to see how our bodies adapt to the environment around us and it's always wonderful to see strategies by the administration fail. I took pictures of the tents and the very witty signs, but I forgot to bring the camera USB thing. I'll post the pictures up at around 2 PM, be sure to come back and check them out. We also saw a professor and his class making their way to Tent City. That's going to be a great learning environment, its a really beautiful day out here at Tent City, Gallaudet. |
