Gallaudet recruitment materials win top honors in MarCom Awards

The Enrollment Marketing office under Enrollment Management recently won top honors for their Recruiter’s Presentation DVD and awards for other recruiting materials in the MarCom Awards competition. MarCom Awards is an international competition that recognizes outstanding creative achievement by marketing and communication professionals. Over 5,000 entries were received throughout the U.S. and several foreign countries. The competition is administered and judged by the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals.
All five entries submitted from Gallaudet received awards including Platinum for the Recruiter’s Presentation DVD in the DVD/CD/Interactive Presentation category. The DVD was written, produced, and edited by the staff in Enrollment Marketing with assistance from Video Services and former Gallaudet employee Darrell Johnson.
Winners were selected from entries in seven forms of media and communication efforts. In addition to the Platinum award, Gallaudet won Gold for its “Get in… Stand out” campaign in the Direct Marketing/Ads/Ad Campaign category and the Recruiter’s Presentation DVD for Design/Other. Both the student learning outcomes banners (on display in the G-Area of the Jordan Student Academic Center) and the recruiter’s DVD won honorable mentions in the Direct Marketing/Ads/Banner/Sign and Video/Film/Recruitment categories, respectively.
Earlier this year, Enrollment Marketing won six awards from the Hermes Creative Awards including top honors for the recruitment newsletter “The Gallaudet Link” and for company branding with the “Get in… Stand out” Campaign. Since 1998, the Enrollment Marketing office (formerly Outreach Programs and Publications) has won 40 awards from four different marketing organizations that hold competitions.
