In this clip, Jim Brune, Executive Director of DCARA, leads the Bay Area Deaf Community to celebrate in Sacramento. Justin and Jonathon Reynolds inspired the crowd with ASL chants, drumming and spirit. (Transcript below)

Jim: Today is an exciting day! We’re on two buses heading to Sacramento, CA. Why? To celebrate as Californians, ASL. Our language – American Sign Language. Our language – the language of Deaf people. I’m thrilled! Look at this full bus! Look! Look!

(Waving hands)

LaRonda: Yeah! ASL ROCKS! Yeah! (ILY wave)

Bernice: (Chanting) Wo-he-lo. Wo-he-lo for Love and A-S-L! Yeah!

(Drumming)

Rocio: My name is Rocio (shows name sign). I came her to the capital to have fun with other Deaf people. I’m enjoying myself here in Sacramento. I’m having fun.
