I use Sketches to draw up my Starbucks order “G M XH”. Yes, that means “Grande, Mocha and Extra Hot!” It has also saved me a lot of headaches in many situations when I needed to communicate with signing-impaired folks. Better of all, it’s green — environment friendly. The cool thing about it is after you are doodling and need to clear the screen you just need to shake the iPhone. You will have a clear screen to doodle up again. Talk about productivity and convenience. You can also save as many canvases (ie: my frequent G M XH order at Starbucks). Sketches — a worthy of an art and “paper and pen” communication app for the deaf. |

The first day of the released App Store, Sketches was the first program I purchased for my iPhone. A very simple app that allows you to freely doodle stuff using your fingers. What I did not realize at that time, the artistic app would become my “paper and pen” communication tool.
