The number of annular rings on my personal tree are a number that feels high, in light of my mood mental health today.
Life feels like 25.
The sun is shining, the breeze is moderate, the temperature is not quite jackets yet. Footballs float in the school yard horizon and my cochlear hears and interprets correctly, the sound of laughter from young minds who care not a pinch about who wins what election, or how bad the stock market does.
I feel like one of those kids on the playground today!
I am 11 days away from a surgery that I am convinced will give me the bilateral hearing that I so pleaded for. I know we will nail it this time and my comprehension will go through the roof.
Janet continues her recovery nicely and the aches and pains that begged for morphine every 2 hours, are now reduced to a vitamin "I" or Ibuprofen, every couple of days. The steroids that were given to her to reduce swelling in areas, created a whole new decorating scheme in our house. At any given moment or time, (even at 3 am.) furniture was rearranged ever so thought out, cupboards were cleared and cleaned, and the house and the paper work that comes with, was worked within an inch of it's life by a steroid ragging lady.
We are happy about the results!
So as Speeder lays in an ever moving but oh so lovely patch of sunshine, I have found a nice little piece of it myself. It has been a long time since a patch of sunshine has graced our humble little abode and it's occupants.
And bask in it and inhale the warm autumn air, as I listen to the amazing sounds of my concerto.
I am not sure of how long this "patch of happiness will last, and really it matters not. I take it as a gift today, and enjoy it, ride it, bask in it, play in it, watch the world in it, read in it, and discuss life in it.
I am one lucky feller!
I hope your life was graced with a little patch of sunshine today!
Warmest,
David

Thanks for bringing back some wonderful memories of our little dog slowly following the patch of sunshine on the kitchen floor.
And I am so glad that you, Janet, Speeder and Dan have your own patches also.
If any family deserves that sunshine, it is yours.
David could you please pass on my news alert to everyone in your address book about the Health depatment's search for the Greyhound bus passengers here in Ontario.

Perhaps with the power of the internet all 27 of these people will be found very soon.
Thanks and hugs to all.

I am oh so glad that you have been graced with so many rich blessings. Of course, true riches have nothing to do with money, but you already knew that, my friend!
Here today, it was cool and windy and my rose-colored sunglasses made the beginnings of fall color "pop" in the trees.
Singing hearts are indeed a concert with listening to and singing along with!
(I am so impressed that Janet's pain is down to such low doses of vitamin "I")
wonderful sunshine!
Hugs Laura
Terrifically great news on the bilateral re-implant, and absolutely wonderful news for your bride! And if there was a time you just may be thankful that you get to take your magnet off that’d be during Janet’s nocturnal escapades! Let the sun shine in! Hurray!

Sounds like it's going well for you too. Sorry not sure why I haven't been following I seemed to lose you when you moved. Glad Janet is doing well and I am praying for the surgery that's coming up soon for you
xx
What a beautiful post to start my day.
Well damn. I lost my patch of sunshine here. I had better LOOK for it.
Thanks for the reminder, Dave!
Good luck to you on your upcoming surgery! I'll keep my fingers crossed for you.
Dave, I am so pleased that your wife is feeling better. You are both inspirations.
I have you on my calendar for the 13th. I'll be thinking of you.
Jan
