My visit to a Deaf/HH classroom
Here is a video I made for my journalism class, mentioned in my previous blog post. I used Overstream to caption it, which I highly recommend. It was SO easy! Now if only youtube and news websites would start captioning their videos…*sigh*…maybe someday!
Anyway, this video was taken in March 2008 at Nathan Hale School in Crestwood, IL. It is part 1 of many components of a project I did on Deaf Culture. As I post everything it will all be moved to my Tania Explores Deaf Culture section.
Keep in mind my audience in making this video is people who know nothing about deafness. I also had to limit the video to under 2 minutes, which was hard because I ended up staying at Hale the entire day because I was so intrigued at how accessible it was! If you have any more ideas for future projects for me, please let me know!

wow… I agree with you that they don’t know nothing about deafness. But I hope they met deaf people that know deafness. Cool Vlog!
