Know What?

Teri figures out what's wrong with DeafRead!

PS: Hope Joey will come back and continue raising the deaf village (no pun intended).  We need our father back! :)

    Excellent vlog!

Am in agreement with most of what you said.

  2. Platonic's Eye Says:

Tia amore, bravo!!! Good for you to stand up everything go fade with a lot of negative because of swinging bad to good to bad to good like that all the time. I often ignore negative don’t let that bother you. Be strong lady you have very strong character I can see. Bravo

  3. Susan Says:

    Amen!!!

    Susan :)

  4. Amy Cohen Efron Says:

    Hi Teri,

I am in a full agreement with what you said. I love the frog story!

I can relate to that very much.

Glad you decided to stay, and I do too.

  5. observer Says:

I’m just going by what you wrote… does that mean you don’t care if Patti Durr and many other people who left don’t come back? Why only Joey? I find that insulting that people keep only focusing on Joey. What about Patti? She contributed so much. And we lost so many others who just stopped blogging/vlogging/commenting. What about them?

  6. Teri Says:

Oh, observer! Do not take out of context!. I am speaking of the ” divorce”. Of course the rest of DeafRead (village) v/bloggers are the “children”. I pray there will be no custody contest! No need to complicate the situation by involving them. :)

  7. Penny Says:

    Teri-

I personally feel that Deafread needs overhaul because some editors play both roles by approving blogs/vlogs and being active with their own vlogs/blogs. One of the editors have shown to be biased lately (really bad one) and made it to the public what they think of the group or an organization. I was appalled that other editors allowed this editor to do that to the public. Wow! They rejected some blogs and vlogs but they approved one of their gang to do what he/she wanted to do. Wow! Yes wow again! Editors have confused me sometime with mixed messages in the past two years. I hope they are willing to be humble and take action about this so other vloggers/bloggers can come back. Joey is like a Moses to us. He has many followers except he does not carry a rod. I should get him a new rod. Me silly. Anyway thanks for sharing your thoughts. It is good to see you again.

  8. Tar Says:

    Hello Teri,
It is good to know you’re stick up with us. It is very important for all of us to continue together not to divide ourselve. No offend, I don’t consider Joey Baer as our father because he doesn’t lead us. He is consider our friend which walked out of us. I am disappointed but to respect his decision that he made.
He surely be back in someday. =)

  9. Deb Ann Says:

I’m so relieved that you’ll stay…Hopefully you will STAY with us. We need so many strong, great leaders like you and Aiden. Mike will be sorely missed and everyone else will be greatly missed as well. I respect their decision, but I really hope that they will come back some day soon.

Thank you for the story about frogs! Wonderful example!

Speaking of personal attacks, I’m not pleased with six personal attacks on one post on my blog. I had to delete all out and I talked with the person through emails, but he said that I assumed wrong, soI let him go. If a person doesn’t respect by leaving a comment attack for some reason, it gotta be his or her pesonal progblem, not yours or ours…

Thanks for your vlog! Yes, it’s time to tell. Now is it time to share brainstorming ideas for our deafread to improve the system? Or we can live with it? I believe it is a hard issue for all of us. Good job, Teri for this vlog!

Everyone, please stay in Deafread. Love you, all guys!

  10. Gary Brooks Says:

    Hi Teri!

you look good!! very colorful! you know me I like dress design :)

anyway yes I missed RidorLive, I know some hate him but he was a pure entertainment that got me laughing so hard! I missed Karen Von Pills too!! loved those funny tidbits. I hope Ridor will come back.

As for Joey, yes he’s great guy! hope he comes back. He need to stay strong. If he comes back that’s great news!!!

I am glad that you stay there! Tell Bill, your husband I said Hello!

alright you all have a great summer! good vlog!

    :) Gary Brooks

  11. LaRonda Says:

I’m glad you’re here to stay, Teri. Me too!

  12. Jon Savage Says:
  13. Ben Vess Says:

    Teri,

I agree with you about not blaming Deaf read for postings or comments. I don’t moderate my comments, like you, and many times I’ve been insulted and all. Sometimes it is hard not to get emotional and retaliate.

I guess I believe strongly in everyone’s right to say what they want to say.

DeafRead Editors should get a bit more respect than what they’ve been given. That’s what I think.

    Very good Vlog!

    -Ben

  14. SDA Says:

    teri -
i would like to disagree with you on one thing. joey may be busy, sure. but it does not mean that it was the reason why he left deafread. he made it clear in his vlogs. he was in agreement with patti durr’s departure from deafread. joey, patti, and a couple of other b/vloggers clearly have been disillusioned with deafread.
deafread, i want to continue to support it. but it does need a major overhaul and cleansing.
    that’s my two-cent here. thanks.

  15. Mike Says:

    SDA,

You wrong! Go back and read Joey’s vlog carefully. He mentioned that he has better things to do. Teri is very correct. Thank you, teri for speaking up and defending Deafread. Bravo!

  16. Jean Boutcher Says:

    Teri,

You are such an unselfish person! You are truly an inspiration.
Those who do not realise will eventually recognise you as a
    woman of wisdom!

I loved your story about the frogs and hope to hear
more stories about Zen from you in the future.

I am very glad that you are staying!

    Paix,
    Jean

  17. KyDeafie Says:

Beautiful and well said vlog! I do agree with you, can’t blame on Deafread. Some may need break. Maybe they will come back later, I hope. I am happy you will stay.

I laughed about the frog story. I love it.

  18. peggy Says:

big bravo! u are a great brave person and keep it up! i am ur fan!!

  19. sir william Says:

    righto!
    do not cop out.
just be preservative regardless of what.
    don’t be a shhep-alike.
don’t be afraid to speak up.
do not worry about about your job.
you look so natural while the others are so false.
you are are so softer and the others are so so stiff.
yet what i have said do not mean that the others are bad. ha.

  20. Rita Says:

Right on Teri!!! I will always stay on deafread no matter what, it is my “home”… i have learned alot from deafread and DVTV… i can understand some ppl quit for personal reasons… alright keep up with good vlogs…

  21. LS Says:

Yay, Zen story has returned! I am glad you chose to stay and I too.
DR has nothing to do that much, granted they make minor mistakes but I do not want them to police over DR.

i look forward to more of your vlogs. Always wisdom and calming effect in there. Thank you for staying with DR.

  22. Karen Mayes Says:

Nice. People come and go… Life goes on with or without them (speaking in a philosophical sense.)

    Liked your frog story :o)

  23. PANY Lighthouse Says:

    Teri,

How true! Vloggers and bloggers are accountable for their moderation of comments on their sites so they are responsible whether they like it or NOT! Though our site has not been up and around lately, we intend to stay on as well!

Life is indeed full of surprises — all unexpected ones that are up and down so that is what life gives each and every of us!

Loved your frog story….an intriguing thread of perservance and faith!

    ~Ginny

  24. NoName Says:

You may know who I am due to an IP address :-) I appreciate your understanding that I do not feel comfortable to reveal my name here.

I agree with you about RidorLIVE. In spite of a possible silly thought, I must admit I for one do miss RidorLIVE because so often I could see that Ricky Taylor made valid points. He sure knows and understands how we deaf people are, and how he stood up for us deaf people.

Overall, your viewpoint is very excellent. It is well spoken (beautifully signed). I wholeheartedly agree with you. I also took a look at Jon Savage’s vlog comment and I agree with him 100% too.

    The bottom line is…

DR is a place for everyone to share their viewpoints, comments, thoughts, whatever. It is really *UP* to us as the DR readers to decide for ourselves to read them, we are the judge upon what we believe and what we do not believe, what we agree, what we do not agree.

By the way, your frog story is awesome, thank you for sharing the wonderful story with us.

You do know me but we haven’t met for 26 years to be exact.

Always so good to see you again! Thanks again for your wonderful insight, Teri!!!

  25. Diane Says:

As I am the 8th child of 9 hearing brothers and sisters. I do believe that you and your husband have 10 wonderful children. I love your frog story. In my opinion, Crab theory is to be blamed.

DeafRead is the safe haven for us. Even I am not popular here, the greatest icon Joey Baer will be missed. I hope for him to come back one day (til he is ready). As for RidorLive, he is a gifted writer and has a strong personality. I have enjoyed reading his blogs once a while. Not anymore because he is no longer around. Things have changed since the DeafRead was first established. Come and Go. I hate seeing this goes spiraling down with a full hatred and angers. I don’t like seeing “True Biz or Copycat” Goodbye. Because once the v/bloggers leave here, they will tempt to take a peek and maybe make blogs/vlogs again. (I did commented “Goodbye and Copycat? You will come back” to one of the bloggers and he rejected it) …No guarantee because it is somewhat addictive. I will not leave here –Even I am in early 40’s, I still learn a lot from you and the rest here. Please keep this DeafRead stays safe and unity.

    Froggie-ly yours, Diane

  26. Dianrez Says:

Whew, that was a fine vlog! I agree, people need to keep persevering and not give up, especially in blogland.

It hadn’t occurred to me that the disappearance of Ridorlive.com might have caused trolls to migrate to other blogsites, so that is something to think about. It helps to watch IP addresses and to let them know it, so they think twice about posting hurtful comments.

Strong voices like yours are needed and your cheerful optimism badly needed. Stay in there and keep encouraging others to stay, too.

  27. Eyefang Says:

As everyone knows, stories or pearls of wisdom are never without multiple vantage points of view or interpretations. I choose to interpret your frog story differently than all the rest of other commenters above (including how you potentially interpret your own frog story):

The Frogs At The Top: Blog Readers, Vlog Watchers.
    The Dead Frog: DeafRead.
The Alive Deaf Frog: The need for an aggregator that encourages and endorses the spirit of Bilingualism.

That was what got disillusioned. DeafRead spread too thin in its attempted impartiality and neutrality. It went nowhere. It produced no real cohesion. One thing that I have not seen any of bloggers or vloggers make this connection or realization:

DeafRead, as its name implies, is for the Deaf community. If this was really going downhill, there would be no community; thus, no DeafRead. It is a rather elementary and circular understanding of the simple purpose: to encourage and to ensure coherence/cohesion of the online community. DeafRead ultimately failed that and always will (its editors remain the same and the unfortunately shaded vision also).

The Alive Deaf Frog is, as you mentioned, which can be interpreted as well, “deaf” to the current illusion perpetuated by DeafRead and chooses to jump onto the next platform. As one blogger correctly noted, from the ashes of DeafRead, a phoenix will rise. We should nonetheless thank DeafRead for its failures and ill-conceived understanding of the pulse that is the Deaf community.

As for Ridor: he is an online swindler/beggar. His site got removed because of a simple formula: 1) he prefers the readers to pay it for him; and 2) donations stopped. If you intend him to be the flame for all those negative moths, that is an incorrect thinking. There shouldn’t be such a flame in the first place (in any way or form) and the negative moths shall disperse on their own.

    -Eyefang

  28. Anne Marie Says:

The same here, I am here to stay through thick and thin. I have learned so much too. Please remember, we NEVER had this kind of dialogue with great leverage than ever, Deaf bloggers/vloggers have been learning how to handle difficult issues with more civility, this one thing, and another thing, with more knowledge, this will take time as more we become better educated with more information. We have been in this such flux with unprecedented rapid growth for merely two years.

One thing I should mention to you Teri, should you just pinpoint that because not having Ridorlive around, some of us look for something to fill in his void or because there is actual need to present truth about DBC’s ethic problems, accountability, and integrity? It seems that many people do not get it?

  29. Teri Says:

Just a brief comment . . . I need to run in a few minutes . . . going out with the kids today.

The “Ridor” remark is actually a joke — HUMOR. Do not take it seriously. Please notice the statement, “On a serious note” in the vlog.

I will come back and reply soon.

    Have a great day!

  30. Davy Says:

Thanks for your post message of your thought and I just listen that all.
I only do myself on Comments to anyone that I do share my thought and hope they just listen too! Everyone have different view to take action to share!
    :)

  31. C Says:

Welcome back Zen Teri! I love the frog story. Eyefang, I agree to disagree with you on the interpretation. Your version is very negative and unenlightened . I concur with you, Teri on Deafread. They are not responsible for bashings on blogs. Great vlog!

  32. Rather Not Says:

Cheers to you, Teri. Love your vlog period. Great signing and humor.

*handwaving* for not quitting. The bloggers and vloggers who left DeafRead are true cowards. Most comments on their farewell post are bullshit. They were posted by the quakers. Jeers to them.

I love your sense of humor and keep up the good work.

  33. Eyefang Says:

C, it is too obvious that you could not fathom the insinuations or circumstances surrounding DeafRead. The interpretation appears unfortunately difficult for you to comprehend, which naturally led you to perceive it as negative erratically: the basic gist is–it’s time to move on and a new change is coming in the perspectives of many. We have DeafRead to thank for that enlightenment to move toward a new direction, a new platform, a new website aggregator that would encourage the interests of the Deaf community, that is, none other than bilingualism.

DeafRead at the very beginning didn’t expect to observe recurrent and heated infusions of CI, Oralists, and even Cuer blogs. They were lenient and retreated further back throughout time with the claim of impartiality, which contradicted their first purpose. Tayler realized that error. He even tried to come up with DeafSide. It didn’t work; the familiar contextual atmosphere surrounding DeafRead would predispose onto the next, one blogger pointed out.

Baseless comments like yours, C, aren’t the point. The point was how blogs were represented and chosen. That is partly why one problem with DeafRead is the viscous cycle of negativism that keeps getting perpetuated. It is past time for new blood. In the new, out the old.

If you had watched Joey Baer’s vlog, you would understand (to glean off what you can, despite those “between the lines”) why one blogger on the comment section who obviously understood the pulse of the current debate (another than DH) challenged Joey to develop a new website aggregator.

Negativism associated with DeafRead still continues. There WILL never be an end to that. Two years, and even the DeafRead Conf. itself at SF, always had that negative intonation. Rare and insightful v/blogs had to develop well-established attitude towards the positive and the betterment of the Deaf community in the blogosphere. I watch/read Teri’s blog on a different aggregator (deafpulse.com, because it is the only “decent” one nowadays for American versions). It works. For now.

Other than that, keep it up with your usual witticisms, Teri.

    -Eyefang.

  34. ALAN JEFFERS Says:

AWESOME ON WHAT YOU SAID AND REMEMBER SIMPLE WORDS DO YOU WANT TO BITE ME OR NOT ???

  35. Teri Says:

    Hi everyone,

Thanks for the thoughtful and pleasant comments. I sure appreciate them very much.

    Amy,

It’s good to hear you will stay with us. Off the point, you ought to be a documentary film maker! You are so good at gathering information and exposing the truth. I am pretty sure you are already out of the “s–tty” pit. Go make a film!

    Penny,

As I said in my vlog, I described a reasonable doubt. It was the human editor, who approved the infamous post, ” Ella, You Are A Coward”, not DeafRead (as an organization itself). May it be an innocent error or that editor had his/her own interpretation of the title — be it a non-slanderous one. I do not consider the word, coward as an offensive or hurtful term. It’s how you use the word. As of the dispute between DBC core members and ex-ones, it seems appropriate to call some certain people for not coming forward. It is all about avoiding the confrontational nature. Many deaf readers of course blow the whole thing out of proportion — too often. That’s so appalling! However, I do see your point of several editors with a conflict of interest. I do not think I can further that, since I do not have the full story. Again, it is not an absolute certainty.

    Tar,

I do see your viewpoint, however I believe Joey seeks some peace. It seems he thinks his resignation will cause its own “controversy” and help wake up deaf readers not to slander others. He is the father figure! I think that’s what he is trying to do. I know it may sound funny….. peace and controversy! Eh?

    Deb Ann,

Aw! I am so sorry about getting negatives on your blog, too. Just stay strong and let water off a duck’s back to you. :)

    Gary,

Thanks for the compliment on my outfit. It is one of my favorites. I shall not comment on Ridor thing. Sorry, Gary. It was really a phunnie. I just went to your blog site a while ago. Oh my gosh! You are so friggin crazy and funny! :D

    LaRonda,

Awwwwww! You are always soooooo sweet! :) Radiant? Hee hee! I finally got some color. I am glad you find humor. It seems many people do not get it. Ha! ME NOW SERIOUS! That’s great to know you stay with us.

    Jon,

Yes, you are correct! You are one of the very first deaf vloggers! I sure remember your first few entries! That was the time we did not have DeafRead. :) You made a valid point of Jay’s disappearance. I sorely miss him, too. You know… he is truly a humble guy and falls off the face of the earth without babbling, without becoming self-righteous, and without putting himself on the defensive front. He simply skipped “cybertown”.

Whew… it takes a lot of time reading and writing the replies. I need to take a break– go help with the kids. I will come back and reply the rest. Be back VERY SOON! :)

  36. IamMine Says:

hey good to see you back!

lol @ Jon’s video comment… you know I realized I was one of them!

I was peeking through the window TWICE. I was overwhelmed with the intensity on DR so I said farewell last year, I think… and sweet Joey commented on my blog, showing me support.

You see, we have thin skins (including Joey and others) that we let it get to us and just want to run away. But as leaders…that is not good, in my opinion. Anyone remember JFK hiding and hoping things will blow over over the summer? ;) It came back and bit her in the rear in the fall.

The second time was about the CI folks “taking over” DR and Cy struck my nerve (love you anyway Cy!).

I realized I was being a baby when I said it’s been swell! My friend here in MI looked at me and said, ” What the hell were you doing? that was dumb! Why did you even bother to announce?” uh….i wasn’t thinking?

Yup, Jay is one of the rares…but unfo he is not gonna be happy with my upcoming vlog this week. He definitely won’t approve it because it is not his thing and I don’t think most of you will either. It’s okay…I can take it.

But I gotta say something and share my perspective.

Once I order a new webcam, that is…mine has been damaged for some quite time.

Regarding the comments….well, I see double standard here. DBC leaders looked the other way when Jack Barr allowed his commentators to attack and bash a mother who had her three deaf boys CI’d. Anyone remember that one? The mother came to defend herself on his blog and people on his blog… phew….and the family knows ASL!

tsk tsk. I know that some parents of CI kids were passing that link around. *shaking head*

  37. Mr. Sandman Says:

Generally good vlog post, Teri! I agree with most of what you said. While I agree that the specific human editor who approved Ben Vess’ post erred, I’m not so certain that trying to figure out who approved it is the solution. At this point, I’m *still* not sure what should be the solution, but I think, as you pointed out, that nothing is perfect, and we all need to share in the responsibility for the community, both individually and collectively.

Anyway, again, a good vlog post. :)

  38. Love you but get your facts straight Says:

I love your vlogs, Teri. But some of what you say is in this most recent vlog is not quite accurate. I strongly disagree with your saying that Joey is the “father of vloggers”. He wasn’t the first to vlog. He just happened to get started at the right time when it was hot and if not for deafread, no one would have a clue who he was. Deafread “made” Joey Baer. How easy he and others forget that. I also know of at least two other deaf women who posted vlogs before you did. Not to diminish your contributions in anyway but I would encourage you not to call yourself “the first” because that isn’t true, either. You are my favorite female vlogger, but not the first. Deafread is also not the first deaf aggregator. There were some others before it including one in UK. It is, however, by far the best one. I’m glad you are staying on deafread. As for Joey and those who want to leave, well, the saying comes to mind…. If you can’t take the heat, stay out of the kitchen.

  39. Davy Says:

hummmm ……. Teri….. No wonder I get not get back from your comment to me. Ok maybe next time … maybe not….. I won’t bother you no more. bye!

  40. Joey Baer Says:

Hey Teri - catching up here with my own personal RSS Feed list and just watched yours and heres my response in ASL. :)

  41. Teri Says:

    Hi again,

I am back to finish replying . . . am juggling several tasks here. I will try my best to answer everyone.

    Ben,

Yes, it may be difficult to handle mean or insulting comments. Some commentors seems to continue insult some certain people across DeafRead — until they fall on its knees. Nasty authors are usually come from the sewer. Ha! They have lack of thought. If not for the courage of the honest or nice commentors, v/Bloggers’ intergrity may be been lost. Now I keep vlogging — as chesty as a peacock. :)

    SDA,

Thanks for sharing your food thought. I know Joey very well ( since we were child) and can easily read between his lines ( signs). I will not discuss the matter further. I do not want to cause more problems, because I respect him. I just wanted to let my readers know of my opinion on DeafRead and its issues, let him know how I feel about DeafRead and the “divorce”. It is really wrong to accuse DeafReadR of throwing dust in the eyes of the public and all other sorts of wrongdoings. Yes, DeafRead needs some clean up done for the sake of the deaf community. Remember, they are only two years old. I am pretty sure they are working on it, developing effective strategies to improve or solve some certain problems. The main problem is some v/bloggers and commentors go around burning bridges. We need to stay strong and restore the “connections”.

    Mike,

Your comment prompted me to go to his blog site again and noticed that his vlog was re-edited. Is it my imagination? I swear I saw him signing, ” I have better things to do”. Maybe I am confused with some other v/bloggers? Ah! I guess I better take some of my words (signs) back — put foot in my mouth.

    Jean,

Thanks for the friendly comment. I always enjoy reading your comments across the deaf blogosphere. I know French a little bit. It’s always good to refresh my memory reading some French words you use. Paix! ;)

    KyDeafie,

I am glad you enjoyed the frog story. It is one of my favorites. I reckon they will come back sooner or later.

    Peggy,

    Thanks!

    Sir William,

Ha! Thanks for the compliment. :)

    Rita,

Thanks for the encouragement. Yes, DeafRead is considered cyberhome to many deaf readers. :)

    LS,

Yes, DeafRead make some mistakes. Nobody is perfect. I am glad you like Zen stories. I will make some vlogs related to Zen in the immediate future.

    Karen,

Very true!! Thanks for sharing your philosophical comment. :)

    Pany,

Thanks! Yes, v/bloggers are the responsible party for any information going through their sites.

    NoName,

26 years ago? Ummm… That’s when I was 16! Wow! That’s quite a long time ago. I do not trace everyone’s IP address, only of those who leave nasty comments. Ridor? I guess I will say something about him. Yes, he does stand up for deaf people sometimes, however he often goes too far. He needs to mellow out a little bit and refrain from making harmful posts — depending on the content. I agree with you 100 percent on making choices what to read on DeafRead. Thanks for commenting. Hope we will meet again one day.

    Diane,

Yes, it is the crab theory! No question about it! I believe those v/bloggers, who left established the double standard– pulling DeafRead down. I have not seen the post, Goodbye and Copycat? Whose blog is it? Let me know and I will go there and read. Addiction? Ha! I reckon there is plenty of DeafRead addicts!

    Readers,

Once again, I need to run — go fix lunch. I will come back sometime during the kids’ nap time.

(Note: I avoid making paragraphs intentionally to help shorten the comment post.)

  42. Teri Says:

Joey! I posted the comment before seeing yours. I ought to set WP to send notifications of new comments. I did not want to have my inbox flood with unnecessary emails. I now realize how important it is to monitor new automatic- approved comments. I will definitely come back and reply yours after putting the kids to nap.

  43. Ziggy Says:

    Gonna develop thick skin!!!!

  44. Teri Says:

    Here’s my video response . . .

  45. Joey Baer Says:

Cant view your video - it said it needs a plugin and when I tried to install it, it couldnt find what kind of plugin I need. umm?

  46. Teri Says:

    Hi Joey!

Yes, I am aware of the problem. I am fixng it right now. Give me about ten minutes or so! :) Thanks for letting me know.

  47. Teri Says:

    Hi!

Please let me know if you have any technical difficulties opening my video response.

    See you around.

    Teri

  48. Davy Says:

    Hi Teri,

I was speechless when you came up on your personal ASL Vlog and use my name directly. Ok. Finally I understand what your saying. Hope we all feel better and again thank for your time really I mean it. I know everyone tries to do their best to leave comments here. I want to say thank you very much and appreciate it. Have a good summer and kick off the fun time . . . better than nothing ha!
we all need a BREAK for short or long time ……It’s good for our health.

    Thanks
    Davy

  49. No Name, too Says:

You are absolutely right it was a human editor. Excellent insight.

  50. Linda Says:

I agree with you.. I believe those deaf crab theory abusers are screaming for help for themselves.. They put on other deaf victims instead. I have heard same thing over over in my 4 generations of deafness. That negative behavior discourages more deaf people involved in any positive way. We should have better enforced system on that one. Many deaf leaders are leaving our deaf communities cuz of that.. Why do we, deaf leaders need to face being oppressed by hearing people and also being backstabbing by our own deaf people.. No body wants to be in that position.. That is why deaf people still are struggling with what we really need in our lives..

crab theory is all so darn farce after all. you need to look closer. is it really ? i could beat anyone about being so fuckin’ Deaf . . . . six proven straight generation of Deaf. in my family history . . . perhaps even seventh or eighth. too bad that I am not serious enough about being so egoistic about it. come on, just go with the hearing world flow and try to convince them that we the deaf could be a s good as any of them. yes not all of us the Deaf are as great as you the Hearing, but give us an chance as much as you would give to the Latinos which nil speak the English.
such as the infamous self named as DE he could barely survive in the hearing world. can he just go along with lip-reading or simple gestures??? i m wondering. ha. requiring a third party , , , an interpreter ha. can he survive in the wholly hearing world/ he is in the sheltered world as the deaf high school principal . . . so what . . . wow, whats so big deal?
