    Amy…

OOOooooohhhhh! I can’t wait for you telling us your tales and important details.

When I viewed all of NAD interviews made by you, I really enjoyed them so much. That sounds that you’re having fun.

Hope you’ll have a safe flight home, Amy.

    See you soon…

    Misha :D

  2. LaRonda Says:

Thanks Amy, for all your vlogs. It has been wonderful for us who could not attend to get a birds eye view of what’s been going on. Great concept! Great idea! You deserve some sleep!

I wanted to let you know that you have been the talk of the town! I have friends on Live Chat rooms who have been excited to meet you and sharing stories of time spent with you. I have heard the excitement from my boss who is there who met you this week and bragged about it. Ha. I have seen your name on DeafRead over the week. You’re a shining star!

Whoo! Hope you’ve enjoyed the adventure as must as we have enjoyed your sharing!

    Hugs.

NAD Board member to be implanted in 1999 or 2000,
    Frank Turk.

I have enjoyed your videoclips and look forward to seeing more.

    Enjoy yourself!

  5. White Ghost Says:

How did you feel about being a blogger/journalist? I know it can be challenge and tough task. Won’t be easy.

You looked so pooped but you’re having a blast.

To be continued? Please pass me a popcorn.

  6. deafk Says:

  8. DT Says:

Amy, thanks for all you did this week; I’m sure you’re harried and exhausted. So have a safe flight home, let your hair down and have a well-deserved rest!

  9. RLM Says:

    Amy,

Splendid work on NAD vloggings! Too bad, I did not go there to ask hard and controvestial questions as a tough-nosed journalist for the best interest of American deaf community.

You did try your own best with questions and interview poses, etc.

Next time, use the widescreen panaroma screen for full screen viewing, not move camera back and forth to the interviewee and interviewer.

You know that deaf people love to look at the facial expressions of others while you interview the subject.

Good work anyway on your NAD interviews. Many current journalism are full of fluffy and soft questions, instead of real questions what make a impact on our lives, etc.

Have you attended Pauline Spanbauer’s lecture about
her journey to Miliano? She visited the school where
the 1880 Miliano Conference took place. She took a lot of pictures (she sent me some).

Question for you Amy. Why the frightened facial impression at the end of your VLOG? What is the matter? What were you trying to tell us in the end with your frightened facial expression? Forgive me if I’m reading between the lines but I know the facial expression when I see one.

    Warmly,
    Barry

  31. Meredith Says:

It was quite a surprise for you to run up after the College Bowl competition, but I knew immediately who you were and why you were there! Except I didn’t know it was for NAD, I thought it was your own vlog. Thanks for interviewing us, Amy!

  32. Karen Says:

Amy! What a pleasure it was to work with you! Amy did the impossible along with the media team (wink!) and yet enjoyed everything. Yes, she was exhausted in a good way! Thank you for being at the NAD! Now you know why I am NAD conference junkie, this was my 9th conference straight! Looking forward to go EAST! Karen PS Give Amy a break on spelling!

  33. BJ Says:

Kudos to you and media team for including folks who werent able to come to the confernece.

I had a great time there too. I was impressed with the board, office, the delegates’ “true biz” implemenation of many positive changes, such as smoother operation of motions/meeting, increased participation of younger and diverse folks. I met at least 20 individuals with CI there. Many of the programs, both the entertainment and workshops were given by folks of color. The best part, the importance of ASL, Deaf Culture was loud and clear throughout the whole Conference.

Ive been to many NAD conference, this conference has given me positive feeling that NAD is changing to invite all people.

I recommend future workshop on the benefit of attending NAD conference to our boss. My frustration, there are many great organization to attend, it harder to pick just one, especially during recession.

Kudo to BBS, the board, Nancy Bloch, her small staff and the great volunteers of LAD for a wonderful conference.

    Thank you!

    BJ
