I think accessibility is the perfect area for you to work in (or one of the many!). You not only have the direct requirements and experience yourself with such issues, you also have the technical knowledge to support it.
Web 2.0 is certainly about the community aspects of the Web and many people are looking at accessibility from a technology point of view, i.e. how do we make some of the more complicated Web pages that use things like DHTML and AJAX and keep them accessible. One of the more interesting issues is how we allow members of the community to participate as simply as possible (i.e. using their preferred method whether it be speaking, writing, signing etc) but for recipients of that information to receive it in their preferred method. Some interesting issues to tackle.
