The family history conference went well despite new organization glitches.
Success stories?
Ron Sutcliffe found his Sutcliffes in Lancashire with assistance of a Deaf CSM mentor personally assigned to him. He's coming back for the spouses of his Sutcliffes.
Alice Frick found her Swedish great grand uncle on the last day and sacrificed her banquet ticket to continue in the Family History Library to the close of the Library.
James Marsh found much to his embarassment the solution to his PAF problem he struggled with for years. And he found his folks he has been looking for.
Gena Fischer found his great-grandfather's birthplace in Germany in a very unlikely place - in Illinois on a marriage license record.
Madalene Celestine broke through her Duntan lines - turned out the name Dutton was wrong and found out her 2nd great grandmothers were not twin sisters but just sisters.
How many success stories I have not been informed?
Comments aplenty in praise of Debbe Hagner, A.G. for her excellent German research lectures.
She will write up a report to ICAPGen about the efforts of the Society.
Janelle Deestra did a fantastic job with her Scandivian lecture, particular about Sweden.
Bobby Giles is at it again! He will have 2008 DVD out before long showing highlights and comments from the attendees. He has 2004 and 2006 copies.
Kudos to the conference team for doing their superior job.
The interim officers have been asked to continue while the articles of incorporation and bylaws are written up and sent to the potential members of the Society with a goal of completing the incorporation by September.

I read somewhere (Serves me right !) that the Mormons have a data base with near everyone in the civilised world on it ? If so, why ?
I, James R. Marsh, would not call it my embarrassment regarding my PAF (Personal Ancestral File, genealogical software) problem because it took 3 or 4 FHL (Family History Library) helpers and almost half day to finally solve the problem. If it took only one helper and a moment to solve, then I would be embarrassed.
After having several FHL helpers trying to find my Swedish great great grandmother in passenger list, the last FHL helper finally found her in the passenger list which had been eluded me for a long time (about 30-40 years). Unfortunately it did not break the whole brick wall down to extend her ancestry; just merely removed one brick this time because the passenger list showed that she was indeed from Sweden, but did not show which part of Sweden.
This is response to MM...
no, not about everyone.
You won't find any Arab/Moslem records in certain databases at all.
Much of Asian and African records aren't in yet.
