Mina: It IS an emergency if his vehicle is stolen. Police tell you to always call 911 when your vehicle is stolen. The sooner its reported, the sooner the vehicle can be recovered before it even gets used for any terrible purpose and before it hits a body shop for being taken apart and sold. I do wonder if Canada will follow suit with this E-911 idea.

Jeffrey: Another shortcoming is that we cannot call 911 through our Blackberry as well as hearing people can call 911 through their own cell phones! We need to do something about it.

Bill: I think it's sad that it takes a law to do this. Any responsible IP phone system should have provided a means of emergency access. (It doesn't seem like a stolen truck is an emergency though)

Michelle: I am first one to comment. I agree with you. I am finally get one soon enough and yes, it is better to make 911 calls though TTY.
