Most of My School Friends Had Hearing Aids

Exactly!

Reading and writing skills are far more significant than speaking and hearing skills. Period! ASL is the foundation for reading and writing skills. If a student want to learn speaking, fine, but it shouldn't be the first priority.

I remember wearing body hearing aids when I was 3 years old... Loathed them back then because I looked like I had three breasts.. I figured you must be about near sixty years old.

I used to chew the wires and got shocked by the exposed wires.

I stopped wearing them when I was thirty...because I was losing my residential hearing...

Oh SHIT! You made me laugh about my old hearing aid because it is in city sewer. I flushed my hearing aid in toilet to get my teacher off my back at Oregon school for the Deaf in late 1970's. We need to make a documentary about what happened to hearing Aids that aren't in use.

I find your blog rather interesting and useful. Hearing aids is still a way out for those who have hearing problems. However, certain people are deprived of a chance to hear the sounds even with the help of hearing aids. I have learned from www.pissedconsumer.com that they are very different and diverse depending on the level of the deafness. There are numerous hearing aids manufacturers in the world which present their products on the US market.
