New Sign Language Video Tool in Development

Boston University is developing an interactive video tool that is similar to, but not, a dictionary. With this tool, people will be able to "enter" a sign that they do not understand or know, and the system will find a match based on the sign's visual characteristics. Agree that this is a long-needed tool, but it would be especially valuable for Deaf families if it also includes regional signs, “kid signs” and slang signs. Being around teenage Deaf, I often have to ask what they are saying!
