They say that some native american tribes consider the butterfly a symbol for deafness. Not sure why, or if this is even true, but I like the thought of it for some reason.
This morning found this butterfly on the ground, not moving. Thought it was dead but then realized it was only hurt. I’ve moved it to our nectarine tree, hopefully it can recover there, even with a short life span.

Gorgeous! Do you know what kind it is? We used to get something called a Mexican swallowtail this time of year up north…wondering if it’s the same. Ya know, the butterfly is also the symbol of a group I belong to, too.
