tiffany: my children had the implants done 3 years ago and my insurance paid for it but my insurance wont pay for an upgrade on there peocessor im trying to find a wasy to get the upgrade im limited in funds cause im a single sit at home mom with four kids do you know were i could find help i also had heard i could get free computer for my girls and a phone for them to use

Cathy: The expense of the cochlear implant to me is well spent.My insurance paid for almost all of my surgery.The implant has made a huge impact on my life.I hope in the future that anyone who wants an implant will be able to have one,regardless of whether they have insurance or not. The industry does have to recoup the money it has put into research and development. Its expensive, but so well worth it!!
