Coming Soon...
Hands On VRS' new product "Mobile Video Phone" (MVP)
I forgot to mention that it also can handle the multi-points
video (not sure how many the maximum would be)
In order to participate the multi-points video conference, you
need either MVP or HOVRS' VideoSign 3.0 (not released yet).
I am looking forward to using the VS or MVP!!
Any questions or feedbacks, feel free to leave me the message
below.

Check out my website I just put this morning about MVP vs VPAD. www.foundercobra.com
Phil, you seem to know a lot about this device, MVP. Are you employed by HOVRS?
I viewed the VPad and frankly, you can do much more if you had a laptop with a webcam (built-in or add-on). I do not need another device to carry around when I travel.
I find it amazing companies trying to come up with new devices yet they failed to find ways and means to improve quality of interpreters.
I have a software I use with my webcam to call any VRS services and point-to-point to another ASL user.
Have a great day and thanks for sharing.
Finally....You are back on Vlog...been long times. Allright...wow really sound cool. I am wondering how much cost or free? Also, What kind of wireless?I just curious.
Thanks...
J H
Thanks for telling us! I am looking forward to seeing one and having own one soon.
I tried to find a specs for this device on google. No luck, but I wonder if you have any idea how long the battery last during mobile communicate through wi-fi?
Thanks
Thank you for sharing this information!
I have some critical questions.
1. How long will the battery be running?
2. Will the MVP be secure from the firewall while we are in the Wi-Fi section?
Wow, sounds like a gem!
I use HOVRS with webcam ever since Sorenson VP went down last summer... and I hate it. Because of the quality of webcam when I talk with friends as opposed to interpreters (different quality, go figure). So I stopped using it with friends and just use it for calls through VRS when I need to. Email is the best way for me till something better comes along! :)
Not to mention problems connecting to interpreters and the video not coming on (groans).
So I'm looking forward to this new product and also VPAD!
Good to see ya again, Judge! ;)
1st Anon: I have the privilege to view the device. Speaking of carrying the device, sure you can do this wonder if you use VideoSign 3.0. But, if you just want to go around the community or friends' home and want to make a call -- use it privately with your MVP!
2nd Anon: Yeah, it has been while since I last vlogged. Wireless- you can use wi-fi.
aslpride: I wish i know the answer about the lifespan of battery. I would imagine that it will last 1.5 to 2 hours since it doesn't have hard drive in it.
3rd Anon: You will be able to use SIP technology instead of H323.
Iammine: Thanks! I hope that I will be able to do vlog a bit more from now on. :) I hope you do the same! :)
VideoSign 3.0 is not available. How can you say things like that? Oh, you already use the beta version. Lucky you. However, don't tell us something that is still not available.
Anon: No, VideoSign 3.0 isn't released yet and I am not doing any beta for them! I just have the information! :)
Coolio.. Thanks for sharing.
Hi Judge's Anything,
interesting,
When? tomorrow huh
Thanks for sharing,
UFO..
Welcome back.
I hope you got the permission from HOVRS to tell the deaf world about MVP.
HI,
I LOVE HOVRS...THEY DID GREAT JOB FOR ME....
LOOK FORWARD TO THE NEWEST EQUIPMENT COMING...
Hey, Judge,
You said, "I forgot to mention that it also can handle the multi-points
video (not sure how many the maximum would be)."
I just learned about this MVP today from an HOVRS interpreter (off-duty). As I recall, it was 8-point video. Thanks for sharing this with us! I wonder if HOVRS will feature MVP at the DeafNation Expos this year.
It sounds like VPAD that shows in Las Vegas few weeks ago ? You mean HOVRS and (forgot name of inventer) are working together ?
Thanks !
Narbor, HOVRS and Viable are not working together on the product.
Based my observation, Viable's Vpad and HOVRS' MVP are two totally different product.
No, I don't have Vpad or MVP!
Today's the day for you men to get treated by ladies!
Cheers.
You did not mention the cost of MVP. If you know about the VPad...what is the price for this as opposed to MVP?
As far as I know and I have already asked before, the cost of both MVP and VPAD products have yet to be determined. My hunch is they will be affordable prices as long as you are Deaf, CODA, or interpreter.
Maybe someone else knows more about this?
MVP = FREE
VPAD =$399.00
Where are the links to those cost info, anonymous?
hello Judge
I was told that I should email you to put my name on waiting list to get free MVP which I will be exciting to get ones for our needs to us VP so often even going to Dr's office, etc that I need it than writing notes to dr.. Smile!!
Pls let me know where or who can I get in touch to get free MVP.
Thanks RASl
Hi Rasi,
Sorry, I am not the person to do the MVP list job. You need to contact Hands On VRS (HOVRS) by looking up on their website and try to contact 'em.
How can I obtain a HOVRS???

Hello,
I was told that HOVRS will provide a free small/medium device that looks like a “laptop” where you can use to communicate with hearing people. You turn it on and the interpreter will appear on the screen. You sign to the interpreter and she/he will voice out for those hearing people to listen and they (hearing people) speak, and the interpreter will listen and sign for you. It is almost like having a live interpreter with you 24 hours. The device will be given out to those deaf people only if they use HOVRS frequently. The link is https://www.hovrs.com/VRS_SSL/hovrs.aspx
I wonder is that true or do you know anything about it? Thanks so much.
It is called MVP :) It is not like a cell-phone, but you can use with wi-fi networks...
And, i don't know if the statement is true or not on "The device will be given out to those deaf people only if they use HOVRS frequently."
Hello,
Thanks for telling me about it.
Will MVP only be used for communication through calls or also in the person?
For instance, will I be able to use MVP to communicate with my hearing friends in person at their home when I visit them instead of using a telephone through relay service?
Thanks again.
Doesn't sound like anything different than bringing your own laptop to a place with wifi. The name "Mobile Video Phone" is misleading. It's not a phone because it depends on wifi. I had thought it was like a phone like those used in Europe.
Mmmmmmmmm nice info but I was wondering can hearing get mvp ??? Also I disagree with hovrs' idea to use vrs to get mvp if that's so then I will go ahead buy mvp to support it that's simple .... I rather to be equal with hearing world to buy stuffs like that... why get free ?? I feel like cheap
Heard CSDVRS now release new VP. Not 1 but 4 different VP solutions! Also heard over 800 people pre-ordered in secret and will pick up at NAD. True?
Hello everyone. my name is Michael Denton. I am a HOVRS rep and one I know. battery runs 90 mins live chat or whatever.. and 5 hours standby. MVP. free. yes and the HOVRS interpreters are tops in the industry in my opinion !! and we also use I711 download on your sidekick and use the relay on sidekick OR MVP. please feel free to contact me via vp 425-673-9015 and I'd be more than happy to explain the services and MVP . Thank you so much.love this vlogs!!
I already know when it is going to be release. I called the HOVRS and I have been confirmed to receive one and it will be last part of August or first week in September 2008.
i find a free MVP information is purpleticket.hovrs.com/power8/MVPProduct.aspx
