A cartoonist sent this to NAD and DBC and asked that the cartoon be posted on DeafRead.

Like this cartoon; seems looks like political cartoon in real life. Show us what we can do!
Artist Credit: LCToom2008 for media image; credit goes to you for your bandwidth.

Cool! I believe I knew the artist back at Gally…LCTom, you rock!
Cartoons such as this have shifted opinions and caused change in the past…such as the Tamany Hall cartoons that got Boss Tweed thrown out of office. I’d like nothing better than to see more Deaf cartoonists taking aim at AGBell.

Tayler - thanks for sharing the PDF.
I want to pick you up on one thing. its kind of patronising to say that its “stealing bandwidth”. The thing is hosted on videoserver.us which has 2.5 terabytes of bandwidth a month / flat rate. Are you seriously telling us that you go through that much?! The file is 495kb, and whilst you might host videos … even mainstream commercial sites would be pushed to reach this amount of bandwidth in a month.
It would be less patronising, to state that you want this post to be exclusive? As a reader, just cannot tolerate being treated as stupid.
February 13th, 2008 11:38 am
Alison, I paid for the bandwidth. If you steal a dollar from a millionaire, it’s still stealing.
This PDF doesn’t have to be exclusive. It can be distributed freely, as was the PDF letter by Michael Schwartz ESQ posted last week. Just as long as it’s not hotlinked.
Note: I’ve made a revision to the post above concerning this issue. Thanks, Alison.

Tom Rocks! This cartoon should be published in this Sunday’s Washington Post’s OUTLOOK..
I know Tom. She is a “can-do” person, capturing the deep core of a subject!

i finally view this awesome deaf cartoon - “Deaf Blobs ……” after two days of attempt of viewing the Adobe Reader version. I had to use the Mac PRO 2.8 GHz to open this attachment.
Jean Boutcher have a brilliant idea for the creator of that cartoon sending it up to the Washington Post and other newspapers and newsmagazines’ editorial pages including the Outlook Section.
One thing about the blob itself would be easily contained under the hydrogen frozen substance in several “BIob” movies. I always enjoy viewing those horror films. The classic horror 50s film with Steve McQueen and the latest one with Kevin Dillon is worthy viewing. “Beware, Beware Blob!” film in the 70s produced by Larry Hagman, well-known as the villany J.R. Ewing on CBS-TV’s “Dallas”. *screaming in front of incoming blobby substance sucking you in*
