It is GOOD thing.
However, I think its more than just Facebook that already been impact deaf community like DeafRead, MySpace, mailing list, email, instant messenger, chat, all other Internet-based entertainment and services.

haha got a good laugh this morning! how many games of scrabble do you have going on? I have about 6 or 7. Sheesh.

I want to post your video on my Facebook - how? Grin.

Good question, Stevie. I'm sure there's an easy way but I couldn't immediately figure it out. Will see what I can do. As for Scrabble, I have only 2 going on right now--which is a good thing or I'd be sitting all day at the computer!
I don't think it will change Deaf Community's face because it will be a temporary thing. If I remember right, Ringo was so hot few years ago and it died within few months. So I suspect that Facebook will die in maybe a year or so. We shall find out!
Basically, i think facebook is a waste of time as I know too many people spent approx 3 hrs a day on this website and for what? Roger- you live in Sioux Falls so hence facebook s probably good for you as you mentioned SF is a ghost town.
There's still the value of being there in person, especially with deaf people. VP hasn't really replaced social interaction yet, and Facebook is a far cry from that. So I doubt the impact will be that great.
I think it definitely has an impact. People sometimes are frustrated with text only because you cant read emotion from written words.. now you can post videos on facebook (as some of my deaf friends have already) so it's even more clear/accurate communication. I think that will appeal to many and keep it going.
there is the rumor that someone deaf is planning to create own facebook site for the deaf community...what do u think? should it be a good idea as the deaf community feel most comfortable in the own facebook website? suggestion or feedback would be appreciated...thanks...
