T-Mobile FlexPay
Have you been disappointed when trying to get a Sidekick at a deaf trade show, being told that your credit is less than perfect, and you have to put up a big deposit just to get that new pager you need? Or you do not want to be stuck in a long-term contract and want the freedom of a monthly plan without the strings of a contract? Have you tried the GoAmerica No Credit Check Program, and find out they still want you to pay for your old Wyndtell bill from way back? T-Mobile FlexPay is just what you’re looking for.
T-Mobile has recently introduced the replacement for their old SmartAccess plan for those with less than stellar credit and those who wish to go month-to-month without an contract. Due to various factors, it’s well known that many deaf people have poor credit. It makes things harder when applying for a T-Mobile plan, and then having to find money for a huge SmartAccess deposit, just to get a pager!! The new FlexPay does away with the credit check and the deposit,
making it much easier for anyone to afford a Sidekick pager to remain in touch with their deaf friends. Anyone 18 or older with a valid ID can apply for FlexPay.
With FlexPay, you can select a Sidekick 3 or iD at a low cost, and commit to a two-year contract, paying the same $30/mo for the SK planjust like everyone else. However, the low cost isn’t as low as if youqualified for a regular T-Mobile plan. If you wish to go month-to-month on FlexPay, you will need to pay full retail for a Sidekick of your choice. Your bill will have an additional $5
administrative charge each month unless you choose to make payments automatically using “EasyPay” via T-Mobile when you apply.
The pros of having FlexPay include easily qualifying for a Sidekick device even if you have poor credit, you can have up to three lines on your FlexPay account sharing all the minutes, and you can make payments on your account via T-Mobile prepaid cards. You can find T-Mobile prepaid cards on sale for as much as 15% off, meaning you could save a few dollars on your pager bill each month.
Another good thing is that FlexPay accounts will never go over theirmonthly bill. This would be good for deaf people who have both voice and data plans for their Sidekick, and don’t want their kids orsignificant others running up their voice bill, or share a few voiceminutes with up to three Sidekicks for families with the need to have both voice and data on their Sidekicks.
The bad news about FlexPay include the fact that you should verycarefully check your coverage - T-Mobile has different coverage for regular coverage as compared to FlexPay or prepaid. It’s not a big deal, but it can’t hurt to check and be sure. You will need to pay more for your new SK, and if you want month-to-month, you will have to pay full retail.
FlexPay is a great new offering from T-Mobile, making it even easierto have a Sidekick pager to stay in touch with your deaf friends andyour family! To learn more, or to order a SK with the FlexPlan, please visit http://www.deafpagers.com/devices/nocheckflex.html

Just spoke with a rep at tmobile and she said there IS a credit check for flex pay. Spoke with the upgrade center, she confirmed the credit check.
Nobody has been able to tell me why I would pay more for a phone if I could just be a regular cumstomer or a more expensive flex pay?
I am thinking T-mobile doesnt have its head screwed on right?

Ok I undestand now.
They DO make a credit check when you apply for flex pay. If you fail the check then you are moved to flex pay. Other iwse they send you to regular tmobile.
Sorry if I confused

Eddie, tell them they are wrong. You only need a credit check if you sign up for the contract. If you do flex pay with no contract there is no credit check. This program is new and some employees might not understand it completely.

I just talked to a rep at a local store and she DID do a credit check on me. You must QUALIFY for FlexPay. Meaning they run your credit just to see if you qualify for regular contract services. If you don’t, they give you the option to do Flex Pay on a month-to-month contract or annual basis. I just did this over the phone at T-Mobile, so they do run your credit. Thanks!

Deafpagers.com has SPEICAL Offer for all customers who get Class M (Smart Access), can get better price and get two year contract and required to sign up for FlexPay service. T-Mobile stores would not offer like this program. T-Mobile offer Deafpagers.com a special Flex program.Class
Most Class M Customers are students, young adults, and have no credit history.

I just got flexpay from t-mobile today, everything they told me sounded good, no contract all i needed was a name, an address and they didn’t even asked me for a ID. Its month-to-month i get 600 whenever minutes and free nights/weekend. I have good credit but i just hate the whole relationship, commitment, agreement with a service plan contrac and the sucky thing about a contract service plan agreement when you cancel the danm account you have/must pay $200 termination fee. For now i’m going to stick around this plan see how it works out.

Hello I thought this flex pay means u dont have to get a contract and just go month to month when I read this: “you do not want to be stuck in a long-term contract and want the freedom of a monthly plan without the strings of a contract” but I send an e mail to sales@deafpagers.com just to be sure and I was told u have to sign up for a 2 yr contract.

Flexpay is pretty new still to everyone at the stores, but it is also really interesting.. There is the no-contract version and the contract version.. The contract one can usually qualify for the phones to be free, and all the customer has to do is pay their first month’s bill at the store.. Seems pretty fair for someone with less than perfect credit..

hi, i just have a phone with “flexipay” and it is true YOU DO NOT NEED A CREDIT CHECK, but you need to have a minimun deposit into your account to use your phone…..
14 Tess // Sep 21, 2007 at 4:02 pm
hi, about the flex pay, you still have to pay the $219 then get a rebate of $50, if u qualify for the rebate, then get a contract of 2 years which u can’t cancel within 2 years. The only thing that’s free is the activation fee. That’s what I was told when I send an e mail at sales@deafpagers.com. So why go for flex pay unless you dont have good credit.

I just got this flex pay for my son as he continually ran my verizon bill up past 200 a month. Now I pay a guaranteed 47.15 a month, does not have texting, he get’s his fav5 and 300 minutes , free nights and weekends. When his 300 minutes run out the phone will only work for the fav5’s and after 9pm and on all weekends. I love it! Best thing ever! I have great credit and was lead to believe it’s for lower credit score people but was told if I went into the store vs. the telephone that they would give it to me and they did. Plus I got a free phone too! I couldn’t be happier! Thank you T-Mobile! !!!

oh yeah..I did go for the 2 year contract..at that price why not!!

yeah im getting a flexpay next week, people on here are talking about the one that you pay with ur credit card, thats when they do a credit check. otherwise you just choose ur phone and plan and you pay for it all upfront
im going to be getting a 90 dollar phone, the my faves 300, which is 40 dollars a month, and im geteting the unlimited texting which is 15 dollars a month so all in all its going to be around 160 dollars the day i buy it(thats with tax), when im doing payments, i go into the kiosk once a month and ill pay around 63 dollars.
but yeah anyway, i hope that helps soemone

this flex thing it is just another way to lure people from one thing to another, how about if you lose the demn device anything can happen that little thing it’s free but & then is 300 dollars if you still want the demn number, and it is all up to you who cares anyway, even if you hate your boss….

if you sign up with flex pay and you want you phone to be cheap then you sign a contract that if your credit is alittle less then perfect. if you want flex pay without a contract you would have to pay retail for your phone and pay for your minutes up front if your credit is less then perfect you dont have to pay a deposit if your credit is horrble you dont qaulify for a cheap phone you qaulify for an expensive phone with no deposit and you pay for your first month of minutes I KNOW IM CORRECT BECAUSE IM A MANGER OF A TMOBILE STORE FLEX PAY IS BASSCLY KEEPS YOU FROM PAYING A DEPOSITE FOR CUSTERMERS WITH DECENT CREDIT WITHOUT CREDIT CHECK YOU WILL PAY RETAIL FOR PHONE AND FIRSTS MONTH BILL

I just signed up for the flexpay on Saturday and it’s the best damn thing ever. There is NO CREDIT CHECK, you pay every month before you use it so you never go over. It’s like prepaid but with better coverage and more minutes. They have a deal right now with 1500 mins for 50 buckaroos. i got the family plan though. If you already have a unlocked phone or a T-mobile phone, you can just take it in and they will just pop in a sim which is free if you go directly to the tmobile store. The other stores charge $20. the phones are more expensive if you need a new one but search around online and you can find one for a low price and then just take it in. i went in with two phones, paid my first month and was out of there in about 15 mins. I love it. Think i will end my contract on my other phones that i have with them, and just keep these.

flex pay is the best thing t mobile ever came up with.bet in thed next yr or so some other company will copy their idea .i just love it,and wat i love to is after the first three months of payment u dont hv to worry because u could put on minutes when u feel like .and also u hv a prepaid side so u could never ran out unless u r a talkative person.do like me say boo after nine we will dine.

My husband and I just signed up for flex pay when I went out of town to Missouri. As soon a I came back in town to Jacksonville, FL our phones have not been working properly. As soon as we started making calls we both noticed that the phone would seem like they’re dialing out but then the call ends. I got the phone 10 days ago and we have not been able to place a call except maybe twice (that actually went through). I spoke to a T-mobile technician & they tested the phone where they removed the flex account off, when they did that i was able to dial any call I wanted anywhere. But as soon as they placed the flex account back on my phone the same problem occured again. I would hate to cancel my plan because I have 1000 min for a good rate & our phones are sweet. But the technician told me the I am not the only person expierencing this problem. He explained to me that a small list of other people on the flex account are dealing with the same issue. He said the engineers have been working on the problem but he doesn’t know how long it could take. WHAT Should I Do?
23 Eric // Dec 11, 2007 at 2:01 pm
Tameeca your phone will be fixed and if you call in you can be compensated for days that you didn’t have service…The rep will be able to view usage to see when it started to work

If you request flex pay just tell them you do not want your credit run. I have Flex Pay and my credit was never run. Some of you need to get your facts straight. Many times the telephone reps are not as knowledgeable as they should be. They will all give you different information. If you go to a store or Kiosk they WILL NOT run yout credit!

The price of device bit higher than ours. Our Flexpay program is bit different from T-Mobile’s store program. Deapfagers.com accept Class M customers only to take this program with lower price on device. if anyone cusotmer is not able get Class A, B, C, O, or, M then customer would want to use T- Mobile flexpay program at local stores.

ok for all the confused people out there im just going to say this , when you try to get a phone with a two year contract they first do your credit check then if u have either bad credit or no credit you are then turn over to flex pay
