Deafkathy - The company does NOT allow "Video" to be shown, it blocks all VIDEOS :-(

Sounds great.. How about adding a nice size tv or laptop with a dvd or tape so the hearing people would eavesdropp and lead to watch curiously?

~K~, yes, most deafinitely. Show all vlogs, Amy's "The Greatest Irony" and Aidan's recent vlogs, etc. Include captioning and voiceover work.

I don't think that would be likely for the AGBAB to approve the DBC booth.
If the AGBAB leadership do. I would be really floored down. Or we could get the ACLU or some civil liberties organization to fight on our behalf to have the DBC booth during the AGBAB conference.
Do we really want to pay the booth fee to help the AGBAB? We have to think about.
Counterinsurgency approach would be much best.

RLM, for the sake of the naysayers who prefer "alternatives to protesting," this is the best approach. I'm calling their (and others') bluff after last weekend's censoring tactics. I don't know if this is true or not, but word is that Gallaudet is sponsoring or co-sponsoring this event next year so I don't see why not. I think we should be allowed to participate like any other agencies or organizations. Deaf centers provided them access many times before and we're in turn, paying to participate in their event this time. If denied, well, there you have it.

I do not have any problems with your idea for having the DBC booth at next year's AGBAB conference.
I hope that the AGBAB will prove themselves being real fair to the opposing side like approving the DBC booth. We ought to have Gallaudet University to demand that our DBC booth to be placed near the heavy traffic path, not out of sight.
Gallaudet University should reconsider its finanical donation to the AGBAB as one of the conference sponsor after the AGBAB people suppress our presence at last weekend's protest/exibit booth.
Gallaudet really need $$$ anyway. Have the AGBAB organization donate any $$$ to Gallaudet in past 147 years? I personally doubt!
I could not find any info on how much for the non-profit organizational booth fee within the AGBAB conference. :(

I had suggested a counter-conference (holding a deaf awareness conference in same place) in my own blog, but I like your idea better! It will be less expensive than a counter-conference.

Why not! DBC booth to ALL conferences that relate to Deaf community? San Diego's Deaf Awareness Day that will happen on Sept. 29th, 2007!
Can DBC coming and set up booth in San Diego?
Good idea since DBC booth would be best one and also safe for everyone, period! That way is the management won't hassle over us! That would be better than protest so the kids can be involve in the booth! As set up a large table, make a poster with pictures of a deaf babies with deaf parents with ASL communication, or make a movies! so they can see them. AGB Convention at Wisc next year will be great.
