That's so cool, Mel! it's amazing how some people out there in the vlogosphere become celebrities. I know Keith is already a celebrity in his own right, and of course, Gary is too. But it seems like Keith recognized you as a vlogger as well! You're a bit of a celeb too!

If you want to hang out with Keith Wann for the whole weekend come to Florida for the World's Largest 29th Silent Weekend. Keith is a nice man and always takes the time to chat with the folks.
He comes to Florida every year with his business partner (Crom Sanders) and they do great skits also acting. They have a one night "improv" and the place is packed with 300+ in attendance.
Peter Cook and Trix Bruce also performs at the Silent Weekend.
The 29th Silent Weekend is scheduled June 26-28, 2008 and
will offer interpreters OVER 2 CEUs ... in Orlando where you can bring your family for a vacation. Classes also for beginning, intermediate and advanced sign language and ITP students.

I'm considering maybe another vlog about last night - deaf representatives from different agencies and organizations all got together for an emergency meeting about the DODHH position (Deaf Pundit, too bad you couldn’t make it – would have been a GREAT blog!!). They were all serious!!
I was very impressed with how much work they’ve put into their respective positions and wanting more support and action. They all agreed they needed more political involvement!
Anyway, Bill – I couldn’t get that link going! Too long and it was truncated. :(
Sara – ask your local deaf organizations and see if they could sponsor Keith Wann to come and perform in your O Canada, the beautiful land!!! :D

That is very cool that representatives from different organizations got together to talk about the DODHH because I was talking to some people recently about them. Since Chris Hunter "retired," (aka, was given the boot), there isn't a deaf staff member. Don't you think there should be at least one? I know I'm hearing and probably shouldn't have an opinion...but if there were a Division on Women's Affairs and they didn't have at least one woman representing our interests, I would be PISSED. You should definately vlog about that.

Kate - I was going to vlog...but I don't have all the information to make it accurate that would not lead to misunderstanding.
I'm not quite sure if deaf people there are comfortable with their names being exposed over the internet.
I'm taking a hiatus from DeafRead as well. :)
