This video is no longer available
YouTube users take down their videos all the time. While this is perfectly fine, these deleted videos still were showing on DeafVIDEO.TV. It’s a bit of a frustration going to a video only to find out it’s no longer. This well-known message is written on the video: “This video is no longer available”. Drrats!
I’ve just written a script that checks twice hourly (automatically) for deleted videos in the 25 most recent videos. This greatly minimizes the chance of finding a deleted video, especially on the front page.
What about older videos beyond the 25 most recent ones? A variation of the above script will check all videos in DeafVIDEO.TV. (As of today, there are 1,249 videos. That’s a lot of checking.
) I plan on running this script on a less frequent basis, maybe once a day or week. The first run of this script found 70 deleted videos.
