Auslan ABC Part 3 Quiz Answers and Lexicalised Slo-Mo

Auslan ABC Quiz answers are given in the below video clip (with ASL feedback).

Perhaps some might find my lexicalised fingerspelling too fast to follow in the previous Quiz, so I've added slo-mo, hope it's useful.

What would you like me to cover in future Auslan lessons?

I think it would be nice to show off some NON-MANUAL SIGNALS in Auslan. That shows off deep gramatical features.

Here's a link to Mouth Morphemes in ASL.

I wouldn't have caught any in quick conversation. If it is slow, it would take me a moment to catch it.

Thanks for the lesson!

Cool! That is so fascinating! I am curious, do you attend any Deaf church?

Thanks.. been watching you again and again! I teach fingerspelling at the community college. I start basic with 3 letter word then add 4 and 5 letter word each week till they feel more comfortable. I also give students basic 3 word letters like -ad.. example.. had, fad, tad, sad, gad, cad, rad, wad, kad, nad.
Another example: -an.. can, fan, tan, dan, ran, wan, van, etc. It helps my students to feel more comfortable fingerspelling. I'll work on mine with your Auslan ABC. :) Thanks so much. Im having fun!

What do we want you to cover in future Auslan lessons?

Why not start in the kitchen? You can sign whatever you are doing in the kitchen -- maybe your version of sticky date pudding or damper? :)

Ideally, I'd like to learn Auslan without any references to English words. Just sign naturally in the kitchen as if you are signing to a Deaf toddler.

Hi, Susan -

I don't think you should do slo-mo. I understand why you're suggesting it, but I think we all learn faster at your normal speed.

If I don't get it, I can always pause the video and replay it if needed. :)

FYI: I'm using my pager to respond so I couldn't use the direct link.

I think your website has facinating info! I've never been to Australia, but I'm learning! :)

Keep on vlogging!

In future Auslan videos, I would like to learn some of the signs... your facial expressions also give me a lot of clue to your signs in auslan.

Hi Susan, my vlog (Hey! Deaf people stand up and be strong!) Yes, I agree with your comment 100 percent.

The Book of Genesis 12:3 states “I will bless those who bless you and curse those who curse you; and the entire world will be blessed because of you.''

Of course, the “you” God is talking about is Israel, the Jewish people and the land He gave them.

Zechariah 2:8 For thus says the Lord of hosts: "He sent Me after glory, to the nations which plunder you; for he who touches you touches the apple of His eye.

**God also gives warning to those that would do harm to Israel (and Israelities/Jews).

That’s why Jews are still survive and stand up and be strong!!!

Did you know that Israel’s only ally is United States of America? That’s why some Nations hate Israel and USA so much and they called Israel and USA great Satan (Devil). I pray that USA won’t withdraw from being an ally with Israel in the future. It is sad for me to see that my country (Canada) didn’t involve with Israel.

Yes, God loves Deaf people so much!
