Entering the Terrible Twos

Blogged under Mr. Sandman by on Saturday 3 February 2007 at 9:38 am

As you read this, I’m sitting somewhere on a teensy portion of 99 acres in Northeast DC. I’ll share more about my trip and today’s experiences specifically upon my return.

Today is an anniversary (or as some would say, blogversary) for me. I haven’t always posted daily, and there have been stretches of silence, but I’ve somehow managed to keep this blog going for exactly two years now. It all started here.

I have no idea where I’m going, or if this will continue, but I’m proud of myself for having the discipline to keep this up, and I’ve enjoyed it so far. So I guess as long as I’m enjoying myself, I’ll keep playing with different ideas in my sandbox. Thanks to my friends, my commenters, and those of you that haven’t said anything yet, but continue to return (whether frequently or occasionally), for sticking it out with me thus far. I hope you’ve enjoyed this as much as I have.

Michelle, thanks! :) I need to get my badge up– hoping to do that tomorrow, if I can. It was an honor just being nominated, really. Once was good enough– three categories was icing on the cake. Winning was somewhat unexpected (although with just two other competitors in that category, I had a 1 in 3 chance of winning– not too shabby odds, I think!).

Larry, it was nice putting a name to a face. Julie, I really enjoyed meeting you and having the chance to talk over dinner. Hope we get that opportunity again soon. Moi, thanks. :) Catch up with you very soon!

IamMine, hmmm… I’m glad you saw the conference proceedings, although now I know people from all over know who I look like. But I don’t know what you or others look like! A bit of a disadvantage. Mrs. Sandman thinks that would be sort of creepy. I think I’m getting a glimpse into how a “celebrity” probably feels– knowing the masses know what they look like, but not sure who all these people out there are. I can roll with the punches, though. :)
