Fusewireless = Spammer

November 4, 2006

Today, I received several sales e-mail announcements from Fusewireless. The e-mails were announcing their “Sidekick 3 Super Sale”. I have never visited their web site, have never done business with this company and have no idea how I got on their e-mail list.

I don’t know about you but I’m absolutely sick of spam and those @%$#& spammers who clog up my e-mail box with their crap.

While there doesn’t appear to be much we can do to combat the spam epidemic Worldwide, we don’t have to put up with it from businesses within our deaf community. Just because they serve the deaf community or may be deaf owned businesses doesn’t give them a license to spam our e-mail boxes with their mass mailings. We didn’t ask for their crap.

I think it’s time for us to send a clear message to companies like Fusewireless that practice spamming that it’s not okay to spam. We can make this point by not doing business with them.

If you’re currently in the market for a new pager, don’t purchase from Fusewireless. Doing so will just encourage them to continue their spamming practices.

If you’re currently a Fusewireless customer, I encourage you to switch to a different company. Let’s send Fusewireless and other companies serving our community a clear message that spamming is not acceptable in any shape or form.

    i just happened across your blog tonight by accident. love it! it’s also nice to finally see someone speakin’ out about spam. in addition to not purchasing from fusewireless.com, you should also report them to spamcop.com and other anti-spam agencies.

    You should also write about Barry Strassler. He harvests e-mail addresses of unsuspecting people and adds them without permission to his e-mail list, Deaf Digest, which sucks by the way.

    Ditto on Barry Strassler and Deaf Digest. He added me to his stupid list. He ignores my Emails when I request unsubscription. I think we should start boycotting his advertisers until he straightens up his act.

    I think we should take an active role in boy cotting companies that spam. I’m so sick of it, too.
