Endless Pondering

Response to Reprisals - Enough is Enough

Deep Eyes, you are absolutely right. It is a well planned scheme
to undermine the resolve of protestors and dissolve the protest.
They will use intimidation and terror against those who made
themselves vulnerable by being arrested. But it is really an abuse
of the spirit of the law. The word of the law says that whoever gets
arrested is bad, because s/he broke the law. But the spirit of the
law says that peaceful sit-in protestors who were carried away
limp by unwilling police forces, are NOT bad people. They only
made a political statement against oppression.

When the administration unleashes more intimidation and more
terror against peaceful protestors trying to crack them, break
them and humiliate them away from taking their stance, it chooses
a way of abusing the power of the law. Their pursuit of a one-sided
political agenda they announced about creating a ‘new order’ and
doing away the old concept of Deaf, does not justify these actions.
Their arrogant intention to conquer the Deaf soul by technologization
is a suspect political agenda that should be questioned at least.

We cannot allow them to abuse the spirit of law to force the
acceptance of a skewed political agenda on its victim, the Deaf
community, in particular the constituents of Gallaudet University.

  1. Rememeber the famous quote, “You can lead a horse to water, but you can’t make it drink water.” Our administration has no power to lead us anymore. For those who got letters to appear for judical review, DO NOT APPEAR! You don’t have to. They don’t have the authority anymore. Stand together. Unity for Galladuet!

  2. That’s funny you bought up the quote, Phoenican - my husband and I were just talking about that last night.

When I bought that quote up and he replied, “That doesn’t even make sense at all - it does NOT even apply to the situtation.”

After the depth discussion of that quote in regards to Jane Ferndales - I came to conclusion that he was right.

In this case, the so-called leader CANT even lead the horse to water.

Does that make sense at all?

  3. Oops - typing error on JF’s last name… I meant Jane Fernandes .

I know someone else by Ferndales - and I accidentally typed that out.

    :)

    My bad.

  4. She can’t lead the horse to water, she can’t make the horse drink, and she doesn’t even know the horse is there!
