It’s a Wrap!
The Caretaker It's hard to believe that one month has went by already. It seems as if it were yesterday that we just started. Millions of thanks goes out to the staffs at Governor Baxter School for the Deaf for making this film a reality. John Woodcock, the real caretaker of Mackworth Island, has been what [...] Sat, Nov 29 2008 Day 27
The Caretaker Our last day of production. Fri, Nov 28 2008 Day 16
The Caretaker Everybody was enthusiastically looking forward to dinner for one reason: Maine Lobster. Kurt went on a boat ride with Jon Connick in search for a lobster boat. There were no lobster boat in sight so they went to a local store and bought back 30 lobsters. As part of the Maine Lobster Dinner [...] Sat, Nov 15 2008 Day 13
The Caretaker It is definitely a pleasure to have Howie Seago back on the set. Howie was our main character in our first feature, A Permanent Grave (written by DJ Kurs). Howie and Max had their scenes done together and it definitely brought a lot more color to the film, especially with their sharp dialogues. Howie will be [...] Tue, Nov 11 2008 Day 12

Here are [...] Sun, Nov 09 2008 Day 10
The Caretaker Governor Baxter's mansion is planted on Mackworth Island where we are shooting our production on. Former President Bush Sr. once slept in the mansion. The main character, Clem, has his own bedroom in the mansion. No one would dare to roam in the house alone when it gets dark at night as there [...] Sat, Nov 08 2008 Day 9
The Caretaker If I were to choose which state is the most friendliest, it is without doubt nor hesitation that I would say Maine. Everywhere we go, we are greeted with friendliness and generousness. This has been mentioned several times here on this blog and this cannot be emphasized enough. “Vacationland” is the word [...] Sat, Nov 08 2008 Day 7
The Caretaker DJ Kurs was here to help out with some scenes and coached some sign language to make them believable rather than staged. He has been a huge help and we all could feel his absence from the set. On the other hand, we got another help on the set with the arrival of [...] Sat, Nov 08 2008 Day 8
The Caretaker Italian Day is what we would call this production day. Kurt and Kye stormed a delicious Baked Penne for lunch and to-die-for homemade pizza for dinner. Those meals were definitely our energy booster and we had a very good production. Sat, Nov 08 2008
